Mandalay Palace Myanmar

This is a story about going to the Mandalay Palace in Mandalay, the second largest city in Myanmar.

What is Mandalay Palace?

The site of this royal palace is almost square, about 3km on a side, and the surrounding moat is surrounded by a wall of 70m in width and 8m in height. Construction began in 1857 and was completed in just four years. It is said that he used a lot of manpower and mastered the architectural arts of this country when it was completed.
Occupied by Britain in 1885, the royal palace was destroyed by war. Rebuilt in the 1990s

I was taken by a Myanmar friend who lives in Mandalay. There is also a private house where military personnel live on the site
