Riga, the capital of Latvia, one of the three Baltic states, is called the pearl of the “Baltic Sea” and Paris of the Baltic, and the old town is a city with pretty buildings.
It is a story that I went to the old town of Riga, which is also registered as a World Heritage Site
From Stockholm to Riga
I headed for one night on board the Tallink Silja Line, a passenger ship that connects Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, from Scandinavia to the Baltic States.

Armagiro was cute, the Freedom Monument is dedicated to the soldiers who were killed in the Latvian War of Independence. It is valued as a symbol of Latvia’s freedom, independence and sovereignty, and is often the centerpiece of public rallies and official ceremonies in Riga. The rack head house is a historic building that was once used as the presidential palace.
Impressions I went to
The colors of the city are colorful, but the dark color in one place makes the most of the accent, making it fun to walk, safe and ideal for sightseeing.
The Baltic states have been to Tallinn, Estonia, but the colors were different from the old town there.
