Inuyama Castle Beautiful Castle
Inuyama Castle was built on a hill facing the Kiso River. It is a beautiful Japanese castle with a wonderful view from the towering castle tower. Inuyama Castle is located in Inuyama City, Aichi Prefecture. Only the castle tower still exists, and it is one of the “12 existing castle towers” built by the Edo period. The castle tower is one of the five castles designated as a national treasure.

Inuyama Castle is located in Inuyama City, which is close to the big city of Nagoya in the central region of Japan. It’s easy to take a train from Nagoya and get off at Inuyama Yuen Station from Meitetsu Nagoya Station. The boarding time is about 35 minutes by express. Inuyama Yuen Station is more than 1km away from Inuyama Castle, and there is a guide sign to Inuyama Castle along the way.

Inuyama Castle is a wonderful view whether you look at it from a distance or close to it. The day I visited was December 2020, but it seems that the cherry blossoms will bloom around April in spring in Japan and the scenery will be different. This time I came in winter, but when I come next time, I would like to come in a different season from winter.
